I am Oliver Bründler and I am from Switzerland. As a Staff Engineer at Enclustra and creator of the Open Logic project, I've spent 15+ years developing FPGA solutions across diverse applications ranging from high-speed signal processing over motor control to video processing. I got to know FPGAs during my apprenticeship and I immediately knew that digital microelectronics are what I want to do. I then earned my bachelor's degree at the FHNW and started working in the industry directly afterwards. From 2009 to 2017 I worked for Enclustra, a company with the slogan "Everything FPGA". Working in design services projects for customers, I had the opportunity to work on a large number of projects in a broad range of applications. I then joined Paul Scherrer Institute to build digital RF electronics for particle accelerators (2017-2020). I returned to Enclustra in a different role in 2020, first as technical project manager and nowadays I work there as a Staff Engineer. I worked with FPGAs during my whole career - and missed a good Standard Components Library most of that time. Since 2021 I have the opportunity to teach a CAS for digital microelectronics every second year. When I figured out that I cannot tell students to not build their own FIFOs and CDCs without pointing them to a better alternative - which was the moment I decided to start the Open Logic project. Through Open Logic, I am providing the FPGA community with the robust, reusable components and solutions that have been missing throughout my career. https://github.com/open-logic/open-logic https://www.youtube.com/@OpenLogicFPGA https://www.linkedin.com/in/oliver-bruendler
